Karen Helen Relitz

Karen Helen Relitz, age 54, of Beaverton, Michigan, formerly of Lapeer, died after a brief illness, Thursday February 4, 2021. She was born December 29, 1966 in Lapeer, to Keith and Joyce (Hill) Relitz.

Karen graduated in 1992 from Lapeer East High School. She worked many years at Growth and Opportunity in Lapeer. Karen had many special interests including crafts, making holiday cards for friends and family, playing bingo and watching television, especially Forensic Files on the HLN network. Karen loved to play UNO with friends and family! Five years ago she moved into the Medi-Lodge in Midland, where she had many dear friends. While at the Medi-Lodge, Karen was an active participant in many activities and she was proud to have been a competitive kickball player in physical therapy.

Karen is survived by her mother, Joyce Relitz of Beaverton; sister, Theresa (Kim) Henry of Lapeer; nephews, Eric (Sarah) Henry of Detroit and Scott (Cassidy)Henry of Lapeer; uncle, Neil Relitz of California and many dear cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Relitz in 2012.
