Linda Decker Obituary
LINDA (MONROE) DECKER 1963-2025
Linda (Monroe) Decker, 62, the beloved daughter of Alan and Gloria Monroe passed away at peace and with love in her heart for her family, her friends and most of all for her God, Jehovah. She dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized in symbol of that dedication on June 29, 1979.
During the succeeding years she shared in the full-time ministry and served in Buffalo, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the Glens Falls area where she was born. She supported her ministry by working as a waitress, house cleaner, health care worker, a golf course grounds keeper and even worked on a kosher chicken farm. Although a hard worker, her secular work- was secondary to her volunteer ministry. Her entire life was devoted to God and in carrying out his will to preach the good news of his Kingdom to all who would listen.
Throughout her life she proved to be a supportive friend to many and helped them to strengthen their relationship with God. During her final days they reciprocated that friendship in many loving ways.
During her illness Greg and Karen Orleman were at her constant call. Her brother, David, and his wife, Tawny, traveled home many times to help and comfort her along with so many others that cared for her needs. Also to be thanked are her hospice nurses, Alita and Cortney, who with great compassion attended to her needs as well.
Linda was a spiritual person who died in the firm belief that she would be in Jehovah's unfailing memory and in line for a resurrection to life here on earth when God returns it to paradise conditions and death will be no more. She was an excellent teacher and skillful in the use of illustrations to help her Bible students to apply to apply bible principles in their lives. She looked forward to using those skills in teaching resurrected ones in the new world. Although she had no children of her own she did all she could to help young ones in the congregation to progress spiritually. Two of those children, Cale and Carlie Kruger, were especially close to her heart.
She is survived by her parents, her big brother David and his wife Tawny, her Aunt Janet, her Uncle Bill and numerous cousins and their children along with a host of friends all over the world, many of whom traveled to see her before her passing.
So as we all mourn her passing we don't say "goodbye", but rather we say see you soon when God restores you to life on a paradise earth.
Memorial Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 81 Mohican St. Glens Falls, NY 12801 on 4/20/2025 at 2:00 PM
