Patricia Prevost Sullivan

1930 - 2025

Queensbury - Patricia Prevost Sullivan, 95, of Queensbury, passed away, Sunday, May 4, 2025 in Glens Falls.

Born February 6, 1930 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marion "Mimi" Prevost.

Patricia was a graduate of Glens Falls High School, class of 1948. After graduating, she went to work for New York Telephone Company. She also assisted her brother-in-law, Ray Ives as a wallpaper hanger. She worked at the Golden Krust Bakery and had many jobs throughout the years.

Pat and Jack raised their family in South Glens Falls, living in her husband's childhood home. After the death of her husband, Jack, she moved to Queensbury.

Pat enjoyed participating in several bowling leagues at Pine Lanes, winning many trophies over the years. She hosted weekly card games, as she loved to play competitive pinochle and rummy. Pat loved Sunday picnics in Lake George with the whole family for many years. She looked forward to weekly dinners at her daughter and son-in-laws home. Pat and her husband, Jack, spent time at the American Legion in South Glens Falls, where she volunteered for BINGO and assisted in the kitchen as he bartended. She looked forward to holiday celebrations, especially Christmas with all of her family. She never forgot to send a birthday or anniversary card and corresponded with many friends, new and old for years.

Some of her happiest years were spent as a mother and grandmother, enjoying a loving and close relationship with her three daughters, who would do anything for her. Pat loved her family dearly and welcomed their surprise visits to her home. She was deeply loved, surrounded by several of her family members when she passesd away. Pat will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) Sullivan; her son, John Sullivan Jr; sister, Alberta Ives; brother, Roger Prevost; sisters in-law, Alice Murphy and Jeanne Sullivan; brother-in-law, Erskine (Ray) Ives; nephews, Stephen Ives and Michael Sullivan and her niece, Lisa Streeter.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn Mead (Peter) of Glens Falls, Judith Sullivan (Richard Dill) of Lake George and Nancy Sullivan (Bianca Proctor) of Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Her grandchildren, Peter Mead (Karen), Jeffrey Mead, Jennifer Dean (Robert), Doron Dill, Devon Dill (Albert Hall), Emily Yavner, and Evan Yavner; her great grandchildren, Kaley and Jessica Mead, Avery and Trevor Mead, Alivia, Finley, and Kennedy Dean and Sullivan Jude Dill. She is also survived by her best friend and caregiver, Maggie Fahlmann; very close nephew, Tom Ives; many nephews and nieces, Ron Ives (Barb), Raymond Ives (Janet), Maureen Ives, Jim Ives (Kim), Janice Cardinale, Roger Prevost (Nicole) and the Sullivan clan: BJ, Colleen, Jimmy, Patrick and Sandy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 am Saturday, May 10, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, 62 Warren Street, Glens Falls.

Family and friends may call from 5 - 7 pm on Friday, May 9, at the Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury.

Burial will be held 11:00 am on Monday, May 12, at Bay Street Cemetery, Glens Falls.
