Auntie-
I just wanted to let you know how beautiful the service was yesterday. I remember Uncle Chris as a fantastic cook, a musician, a master of every craft that he tried, as someone who puts in 200% and makes it look easy, and part of the funniest duo (you and him) that I had ever met. It was touching to hear the stories and kind words of his peers and friends about apart of his life that I knew little about. He was truly an inspiration. As for you…you are one of the strongest women that I know, and I saw yesterday that you are loved by so many (not just by your family).
I love you,
Laura

Erin, I just learned of Chris' passing and I am so sorry. I had the privilege of working with Chris for three years while I was at Maine General. He was a highly respected caring professional who will be missed. My condolences to you and your family.

Aunt Erin, we're so saddened to have the loss of our dear Uncle Chris. My girls and I have very fond memories of our trip there a few years ago, and they had been asking me a lot in the past few months when we could return. This is a terrible shock to all of us, but I'm sure especially for you. Please know we are all thinking of you and love you. Colleen, Vern, Amanda, Ashley, Amber, Alyssa, Dennis

I was sad to hear about Chris' death. I liked him a lot. I have always treasured, and now will treasure even more the beautiful guitar he built for me. I will always remember him when I pick it up to play.

To my sister Erin and all those who where blessed by Chris and Erin's 29 years together:Chris took a liking to me the first day I met him and he and Erin were allways gracious to my wife Kathy and I when we would visit them over the years. We allways had a great time with good food and music and lots of laughs.I Have allways thought of him fondly and gratefully every time I picked up and played the guitar that he made me, free of charge!!! (his second of many). I know he will be missed greatly by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Erin and Connie and all who are grieving this unique and amazing man that I am proud to call my brother and friend. I will still think of him fondly and gratefully every time I play my guitar.
God Bless,
Mike and Kathy

To Erin and all the friends of Chris' in Maine. My brother was a special person, and this tragedy affects all of us deeply. But I beg of everyone to remember the fun times and the laughter, because we know there was always a lot of that when he was around. I will miss him tremendously. Erin, Mick and I and the kids love you and share your pain. As famly and friends share stories with me about him, it validates his life. May we find comfort in these things, and in our Almighty God. Erin,I'm sorry that I never had the opportunity to meet you during
several trips to your home,to have
Chris work on my guitars.During one
of those visits, I told him how much his kindness meant to me, during a medical visit.
It seems that while I
was suffering from depression, my
medication had been changed from effexor to zoloft, and I was going
through some withdrawal. He listened attentively, counseled, and then gave me a phone # and told me that if at any time, I'd feel better in the hospital,to just give him a call.I was just suffering some neg.withdrawal, but his offer made it so much easier. He was truly a kind person that didn't mind taking his own personal time, to show that kindness.Wishing you God's comfort and peace.

Chris will be missed by many at our medical department. I have enjoyed many hours of converstion with him. He was so smart. He has forgotten more medical information than many would ever learn. I had the pleasure of having Chris treat me on a number of occasions. His caring and concern will be missed. I hope he now finds peace. Goodbye Chris. We will miss you, the workers at the mill where you worked.

Chris was a very special guy. It seemed I could always depend on him to be consistent, helpful and even-tempered. He had a quick wit, saw and enjoyed the humor in everyday happenings, and he was SO smart. I really liked Chris and I will miss him very much.
