Glen Zirbel Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 3 p.m., at the Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 West First Street, Ankeny, Iowa, 50023. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 1 p.m., until the time of the services on Thursday. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date with full military rites in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Swaledale, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and will be given to a charity of their choosing at a later date in loving memory of Glen.
Glen's full obituary can be viewed, and fond memories or expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ankenyfuneralhome.com for the Zirbel family.
The Ankeny Funeral Home is assisting the Zirbel family with arrangements and services.

My Dad was one of a kind! I believe most people will agree with me on that. He didn´t have any enemies because he wasn´t like that. He could talk to anyone and you couldn´t stop him if you wanted to. I learned a great deal from him and I feel very proud, grateful and blessed to have called him Dad! I miss you, Mom, Bob, Julie and all that have passed. Please watch over us until we meet again
