Jim Klinge Obituary

STERLING, Ill. - Jim Klinge II, 53, died at home Saturday (Feb. 14, 2009) following an extended illness with ALS.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 18, 2009, at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, Ill., with Chaplain Rita Wolf officiating with a private family burial to be held at a later date.

Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley or the ALS Foundation.

Jim was born on Oct. 31, 1955, in Mason City, the son of James and Florence (Crabb) Klinge. He was a 1974 graduate of Clear Lake High School. James was employed as an Optician with KSB Ophthalmology from 1993 until 2007.

Survivors include one daughter, Kacie Klinge of Sterling, Ill.; one son, Jimmy Klinge III of Sterling, Ill.; four sisters, Jacque (Mick) Keyser of Clear Lake, Judi (Bill) McGowan of Urbandale, Jeannie (John) Sheley of Hudson, Fla., and Janice (Tom) Atkinson of Coppell, Texas; and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
