Nyle D. Rippentrop
MASON CITY - Nyle D. Rippentrop, 84, of Mason City, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Old Stone United Methodist Church, 1 Jackson St, Rock Falls with Pastor Beverly Butler officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will be held in the Rock Falls Cemetery.

I remember Nyle from the Highland Barbershop on 12th N.E. Back then my brother (Ken) and I would get haircuts from Nyle. When finished Nyle would slap on some interesting aftershave, some powder, and give us a penny for the Ford gumball machine. As I remember haircuts were around $1.50. He was a good guy condolences to the family.

My family was a neighbor years ago..he did some carpentry and deck work for me..a great friend and neighbor. I watched his daughter and son grow up. And kept track of them thru him. Prayers for him and for his family...they will miss him!
