Robert Dull Obituary

My brother, Sgt. 1st Class Robert Dull, and my father, Sgt. George O. Dull, preceded me in Europe in World War II and processed out through 36th REPO Depot, Le Havre, France.

I was the sergeant major of the battalion for a short time and was very pleased to review their records. Father "George," critically wounded, passed at age 46. Sgt. Robert E. Dull continued on to Korea and Vietnam, retiring prior to the shutdown of Vietnam, and returned as a civilian to assist in the operation of supply depots until the close of the Vietnam War.

In civilian life, he continued to manage supply depots for Parson & Son, an international contractor in support of worldwide oil pumping stations. My wife, Shelloy, and I were blessed to be a close part of his remarkable life to the end, which came on July 25, 2007, in Las Vegas.

Staff Sgt. Howard Dull, Eugene, Ore.

Graveside services for the the former 82-year-old Mason City man were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Palm Mortuary & Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nev.
