My sincerest condolences to the Fisher family on the loss of Steve.
Steve was a good friend of mine growing up. My brothers Scott, Ross and I grew up on Cerro Gordo Way in Mason City. The kids from Cerro Gordo Way (Phil/Gary Pedersen, Scott/Marty/Ross Barnett, Mike/Jeff "Charlie" Pappas and the kids from Hillcrest Drive (Tom/Steve Fisher, Barb Jones, Vicki Herme, Dennis/Ralph Ausenhuis) formed the neighborhood group of kids. Steve (or "Bees" as we all called him by his nickname...not sure where it came from or how he got it but I'm sure there's a story behind it) was always there as a good friend. Always smiling and would help you out with anything. The things I will always remember are the birthday parties, swimming in the "Pit", shooting bb guns at Blackmore's Nursery, skateboarding down Dietrich's driveway, playing kick the can on summer nights under the street light on the corner and playing football in Craig's/Pedersen's/Jone's front yards. I remember watching Steve and Tom run their night crawler business. I also remember watching Steve play the drums down in the basement(he was pretty good).

My thoughts and prayers are with Steve's family.
