Wava Siefken Obituary
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at Zion Lutheran Church, Rockford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Loni) Siefken of Rudd, Janice (David) Willert of Rockford, Keith (Minnie Sue) Siefken of Cedar Rapids, Pam (Randy) Patterson of Cedar Rapids and Dean Siefken of Kewaskum, Wis.; also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter (Sandra Losee) and three brothers.
Wava M. (Merriss) Siefken was born Dec. 29, 1920, the daughter of Byron and Gertrude (Bates) Merriss. She married John Siefken and they later divorced. She worked in Dr. Carnes office in Cedar Rapids for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.

To the Siefken family, My mo Mildred (Washington)Schissel was your mom's best friend in high school . I have talked to your mom a few time in the last yr on the phone calling for mom.It meant somuch to both of them t hear about each other and how they were doing. I have many fond memories of your family. God bless you with His peace and comfort. I will be with my Dad (Robert Havranek) on Thursday for his chemotherapy at the cancer center in Mason City. I am sorry we will not be able to be at the funeral for Wava. In Christ's Love, Diane Martin
