Pauline Jeannette Eychaner

1927 - 2024

Anacortes, WA - Pauline Jeannette Eychaner, aged 97, of Anacortes, was called home to God on October 11, 2024. Born on June 7, 1927, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Adrien and Jeanette Blanchett and sister to Annette. Pauline faced many challenges in her life, losing her mother at a young age and being raised by her father alongside her sister.

Despite these hardships, Pauline persevered and built a life filled with love and community. In the mid-1980s, she participated in a community project called Self Help, where she and friends built each other's homes in Anacortes. Her career spanned 30 years as a bank teller at various banks, and later, she found joy working at the Washington State Ferries until her retirement at 79.

Pauline was a devoted Catholic, known for her kindness, honesty, and dependability. She was passionate about animals and family, contributing to charities like the Salvation Army and Shriners. Her love for her family was evident, serving as the matriarch to five generations and being a best friend to her grandson.

Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Pauline is survived by her children, Luther Gerard Power and Cassandra Marchese, and her grandchildren, Donald "Tony" Bower, Shelle Green, Jenna Undestad, Audrey Allard, Stacy Jo Vincent, and Joe Marchese.

Services for Pauline will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Anacortes, including a Rosary and Public Viewing at 10:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. A reception will take place at the Father Auer Center, with Committal at Grand View Cemetery at 1 pm.
