Barbara Harmon Edwards, 87, of Danville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1938, in Floyd County, Virginia, to the late Charlie Harmon and Annie Burnett Harmon.

Barbara was a woman of many simple joys and quiet passions. She loved sewing and found great delight in collecting rabbit figures and pictures, each one adding a touch of charm to her home. She enjoyed watching her favorite television shows and had a fondness for beautiful jewelry, reflecting her warm and graceful spirit.

She was married to the love of her life, Warner "Bugger" Edwards, for 64 years before his passing in 2021. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Hansel Harmon, and one nephew.

She is survived by her son, Shannon Edwards (Scarlett); grandson, Zachary Edwards (Jami); granddaughter, Sierra Edwards; two great-granddaughters, Anistyn Edwards and Landree Edwards; a brother, Wade Harmon (Nancy); and a sister, Iva Morgan (Gene). She is also survived by two nieces and three nephews who will cherish her memory.

A funeral service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Swicegood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 29th, at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held the evening before, Tuesday, October 28th, from 6 to 7 p.m., also at Swicegood Funeral Chapel. Barbara will be laid to rest following the funeral at Highland Burial Park.

Barbara will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with everyone around her.
