Carrie Lynn Moon Carrie Lynn Moon, 37, of 915 Newnam Rd., Pelham, NC, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at her residence. She was born on April 27, 1977, in Danville, VA, to David Leeland Payne Sr. and the late Terry Hyler Ackley. Mrs. Moon worked at Dr. Paul Grekos' dental office as a certified dental assistant, and she was a member of the Lively Stones Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, faithful wife, devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, Jason Heath Moon, of the residence; children: Gavin Heath Moon and Ava Grace Moon; brothers, James Daniel Payne, David L. Payne Jr., and Charles Allen Payne; sister-in-law, Cheryl Moranski and her husband, Joe; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Loretta Moon; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Lively Stones Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Kent officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Lively Stones Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence: 915 Newnam Rd., Pelham, NC. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Moon was predeceased by her brother, John Conley Payne.
