Charles Evans Ellis

Charles Evans Ellis, age 80, of 2885 Blairmont Drive, Danville, Va., passed away on July 31, 2021.

Charles was born on May 7, 1941, in Danville, Va., a son of Charles David Ellis and Ruth Hobson Ellis. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Martin Anderson Ellis and James David Ellis.

Charles owned and operated B & B Automotive Electronics, Inc., for 29 years. He was a member of North Main Baptist Church for many years.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Betty T. Ellis, for 44 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children. Glenn E. Ellis (Doris), Judy E. Ruhland (Tom), and Tracy E. Williams (Jeff) and four grandchildren, Nikki Campbell (Anthony), Heather Williams (Justin), Kristen Williams, and Ramey Williams. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Caden and Claire Campbell; two stepchildren, Terry R. Dalton (Elizabeth) and Tracy D. Ference; and two step grandchildren, Jared and Scott Ference.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at North Main Baptist Church with the Pastor Fred Unger officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m.
