Christopher Andrew Bowden

Christopher Andrew Bowden, age 13, of 295 Cascade Mill Rd., Cascade, Va., passed away on February 16, 2017. Christopher was born on August 6, 2003, in Martinsville, Va., to John Bowden and Karrie Hinkle Bowden. He was a student at Tunstall Middle School, and he was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church. Christopher is survived by his father, John Bowden, of the residence and Karrie Bowden, of Henry County; siblings, Jacob, Michael, and Hannah Bowden, of the residence; grandparents, Phyllis and Larry Cross, of Cascade; grandmother, TJ Sparks, of Fla.; great-grandparents, Barbara Fox, of Roxboro, N.C. and Betty Brown, of Burlington, N.C.; uncle, Joseph Bowden; aunts, Lisa and Kara Bowden; first cousins, Nathan Chessman and Adali Bowden; and numerous great-aunts. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017, at the McMillion and Cross Family Cemetery located on the Plantation Rd., Axton, Va. with the Rev. Daniel Lackey, the Rev. Austin Merricks, andthe Rev. Seth Lakeyofficiating. A memorial service will be held at Faith Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Barker Funeral Services is respectfully serving the Bowden family.
