Iam soo sorry to hear about the passing of Mr.Conrad. He did work on my heat pump the week of Christmas He was a long time friend of my father Freddie Tabb they both worked at Star Paper Tube we had the best time talking about the people that we both knew. I am glad I got a chance to know him he was a wonderful man. May his legecy live on and keep the memories in your heart God did nothing wrong he only came to get his own.

Remembering is a wonderful thing and today I found the strength to deliver my Daddy's eulogy. As I took the podium I was prepared until I took a glance at the crowded chapel, I had to take a moment and remember something my Daddy said to me long years ago when I was 12 and he had lost his Mother. On the front porch of his parents' home as he opened the screen door he said “Son, I did not just lose my Mamma today, I lost my best friend. I remembered then how strong my Daddy was during that time, not for himself but his family. Remembering that gave me what I needed to utter the words I had so carefully written. I will forever be a blessed man for having him as my Daddy. Thank you all for all you have shown me these past days, my blessings continue through each of you. God Bless! - Doug

Conrad and I shared some really good times while working with him at Caraustar. The one thing I remember most about him was that he was always very polite to me. When ever we had mechanical problems he could analyze and fix the problem most of the time and if not he would keep on trying things till it was solved. Conrad could fix almost anything. Once he drove all the way to my home to fix a problem with my heat pump and he refused any payment for labor. All I did was pay for the parts. That's the kind of person Conrad was to me. May God bring peace to his family during this difficult time.

Conrad Wilson was one of the giants of Caraustar Industries' tube division. He was beloved by all with whom he worked. He never gave "No" or "I'm too busy" for answers when he was asked for assistance by numerous people who trusted his skills. I count Conrad among my friends, as well as among my work associates. May God bless his family during this difficult period.
