Joyce Yeatts Caudle went to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 13, 2019. She was born on April 18, 1939, to the late Curtis C. Yeatts Sr. and Elizabeth Jones Yeatts. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, C.C. Yeatts. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bobby Joe Caudle; her daughter, Lisa Caudle Hartgrove (Alan); and her granddaughter, Carrie A. Hartgrove Strubler (Daniel). Joyce's walk with Jesus brought her great joy. Others could easily see His love and compassion shine through her. She had a deep devotion to her family that they will always remember and hold dear within their hearts. Joyce earned degrees from Stratford College and Averett University. She will be remembered as a kind, creative, and caring teacher who spent over 30 years teaching children in the Pittsylvania County School System before her retirement. A funeral will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, Va., with Pastor Fred Unger officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, from 7 until 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence. The family request in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the North Main Baptist Church Building fund or God's Pit Crew.
