Lewis Wilson Obituary

DANVILLE - Lewis McKinley Wilson, 65, of 259 Camp Grove Place, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Martinsville.
Born Nov. 26, 1941, in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Horace Wilson and the late Julia Deshazor Wilson.
He was a former employee of Dan River Mills Inc, and later retired on disability from Dibrell Bros. Tobacco Company. At an early age, he joined the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later became affiliated with Camp Grove Missionary Baptist Church until his decline in health.
He is survived by two sisters, Georgianna Culley of Danville and Maggie Brandon of Maryland; three brothers, Leon Wilson and Harvey Wilson, both of Danville, and Daniel Wilson of Milton; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Morris Deshazor, Ford Wilson, Amos Wilson, Joe Nathan Wilson, and Roman Wilson; and three sisters, Annie Mae Carter, Lula Williams, and Susie Reynolds.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30 at Camp Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Delaware Clark Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 259 Camp Grove Place.
Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
