Lolene Cassell Collins

Lolene Cassell Collins, age 93 passsed away early Saturday morning March 24, 2012 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Eden. A Graveside service will be held 2 pm Monday March 26, 2012 at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. Lolene was born March 2, 1919 in Stella, VA to the late Austin James and Maggie Clifton Cassell. She was preceded in death along with her parents by her husband Nelson Collins; sisters, Ocie Dyson, Dolly Garrison, Faye Lawson, Daisy Barnes, and Cleatis Chilton; brothers, William, Albert, Paul, Curtis Cassell and Jesse Clifton.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Harger and husband Tom; son, Nathan Collins and wife Judy; grandchildren, Jay Collins, Todd Collins and wife Alice, Rob Harger and wife Kelly, Tyler Harger; 5 great grandchildren. In addition she is survived by her sisters Dale Setliff and husband Frank and Frances Goins and husband Elmer. The family will receive friends at Fair Funeral Home on Monday prior to the service from 12:30 til 1:45. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 130 Main Street, Eden, NC 27288 or to the donors choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Brian Center and especially to the 500 hall nurses and RA's for the love and care given to their mother. Nathan, Brenda and family. I am so sorry about your mother. I know she is at peace now. I was off from work two days last week due to illness and could not bring Mom down for the service today. If I can do anything at all for you, please let me know. Love, Vickie
