Nicholas Condon Obituary
Nick is survived by: his parents, Dan and Jan Condon; his two brothers and their wives, CW2 Colin P. Hightower and Kristen, stationed at Wheeler Army Airfield in Wahiawa, HI; Ryan and Erika Condon of Durham, North Carolina; maternal grandmother Virginia Barnes of Crawfordville ; paternal grandmother Mary Lou Condon of Pensacola; aunts and uncles June and Eugene Vause, Charlie and Cheryl Creel, and Edward and Dot Creel, all of Crawfordville; Mary Lou and Jim Bushong of Danville, Virginia; Randy and Selma Condon of Pensacola; cousins Shaun (Kathy), Brian and Ashley Condon of Pensacola, Brad (Lauralee) Vause, Deana (John) Walker and Hillary Walls, all of Tallahassee; Kayla Creel, Jenny (Jeremiah) Stanley of Jacksonville; Dusty, Seth and Jessica Creel, Fernandina Beach; and Tyler Bushong of Danville, Virginia. Finally, he leaves behind one special young woman who was not only his best friend, but the love of his life, Keli Dollar, and her family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bill Barnes; paternal grandfather Paul Condon; and his uncle, Jeff Condon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church , 624 Miccosukee Road, Tallahassee, FL . Nick will be sorely missed more than he ever realized by all who came to know and love him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nick's honor to Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Inc., PO Box 2000, Boys Ranch, FL 32064-9984. Please sign the guest book at www.culleysmeadowwood.com. I clearly remember Nick and his passion for soccer, as he played with our 'adopted son', Vanya for Lincoln H.S.. Nick was a fierce competitor, and just an all around great guy. I remember when he passed, we were all very upset, and prayed for his family, as we will do now. Rest in Peace, The Fillmons

I don't even know where to begin. You were my best friend. You gave me the best years of my life. Words cannot express how much you have touched me. You taught me not to care what people think. You taught me how to hunt. You tried to teach me how to fish but we both knew I was a pretty good fisher (; You helped me believe in myself. I will miss our secret sleepovers, cooking with you, study nights, movie nights, jeopardy, riding on the crazy 4-wheeler with you, babysitting with you and most of all the moment when we would just laugh together for no reason at all. I had the pleasure of meeting Nick on a few occasions and being an Englishman his love of football instantly became for me a moth to a flame. Couple this with his spirit and humour was a winning combination. It is very hard to believe that he has passed away and would like to take this opportunity to send our thoughts to the Condon family.
You are understandably proud of Nick as he was of you. There are no words that anyone can offer at a time like this that will honour your son and brother, he was held in high esteem by all that knew him and we remember him fondly.

Dan, Jan, Ryan and Colin,
I have never met Nick personally, but I feel like I know him through his father, Dan. "Danny" and I grew up in Danville, VA, and I remember his childhood family well. Pictures of Nick look a lot like Dan as a kid, except "Danny" always wore glasses. Dan and I have stayed in touch over the years and miles by occasional phone calls; mostly, we share stories about our lives and families. All I can say is that I know that Dan and his family are very close and that they love each other deeply, and that Nick will be missed terribly. I pray that the pain of their loss will be lessened with time and that memories of Nick will keep him close always.

I briefly knew Nick when we played soccer together on the Rec+ team. I still remember the good times we had when we played together and I am devastated for your loss.
Nick will continue to live on through the memories of all of those who knew him and especially through your love for him.
I truly wish for the pains of this tragedy to be relieved. I cannot offer much but a short story that has always helped me in times of grief:

We are so heartbroken for you over your loss of a wonderful son. We fondly remember Nick. This past summer, at a fancy Friday night dinner at the FSA conference, Nick came over to sit with us for a bit since we were “blacklisted” from the main dining room! He had both our kids cracking up, shared some of Jay's fries, and really was just so friendly and open. During another conference, Nick found Mike and the kids in the hotel game room and he tried his best to get Mike to accept a wad of quarters so the kids could play all the video games they wanted. Whenever we spoke to either of you about Nick it was so apparent how proud you were of the remarkable young man you raised.
