PATSY HUDGINS GOAD

Patsy Hudgins Goad Patsy Hudgins Goad, 65 of 260 Eastwood Drive Lot 25 Danville, VA died on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Danville Regional Medical Center after being in declining health for five years. Mrs. Goad was born in Danville, VA on January 23, 1948 a daughter of the late Raymond Guthrie Hudgins and the late Charlotte Daniel Johnson Hudgins. She spent all of her life in the Danville area where she worked for Dan River Mills as a weaver until her retirement. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and she enjoyed her family and loved to bowl. On July 1, 1966 she married Danny M. Goad who survives of the residence. In addition to her husband Mrs. Goad is survived by a daughter Penny Farthing and fianc‚ Steve Harger of Blairs, VA; a son, Raymond Nelson Goad of Danville, VA; three brothers, Philip Hudgins and wife Kami of Danville, VA, Roger Hudgins and wife Patti of Lynchburg, VA and Larry Hudgins of Danville, VA; five grandchildren, Megan Love, Hunter Goad, Tyler Goad, Haley Farthing and Chase Farthing; one great grandchild, Kinley Love; a sister-in-law, Charlene G. Owen; two ex sister-in-laws, Linda Hudgins and Norma Mangus; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Leo Nelson Goad and a great grandchild, Robert Love, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel with the Reverend Lawrence Morris and the Reverend W.L. Wade officiating. Interment will follow the service in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times they will be at the residence of her brother, Philip and Kami Hudgins at 993 Afton Road, Danville, VA 24540.
