Rebecca Logan Obituary
GRETNA - Mrs. Rebecca Alice Fitzgerald Logan, 79, of 2989 Midway Rd., Gretna, Va passed Wednesday morning (10-29-08) at her residence. Born November 12, 1928 in Pittsylvania Co, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Janie White Fitzgerald . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest J. Logan, an infant daughter, Ernestine, and one brother, James Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Logan was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Gretna and was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters-Rosa Carter (Mack), Chatham, VA, Betty Bennett (Haywood) and Laura Lewis (James) all of Gretna, VA, two sons-Earnest A. Logan (Linda) and Linwood Logan (Faye) all of Gretna, Va; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church by Rev. Roger Williams with interment in the church cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be Friday from 4-7 at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5:30-7:00.
Miller Funeral Home, Gretna, is in charge of arrangements.
