Ricky Lane Crumpton, of 1501 Jamerson Road, Danville, Va., went to be with Jesus, Grandpa, and Gran Gran Lane on January 17, 2018. He was born on October 6, 1958, in Danville, to the late Billy Joe Crumpton and Myrtie Lane Jones, who survives. In addition to his mother, Myrtie and his stepfather, Gordon Jones, he is survived by his sons, Andrew Crumpton (Jenny) and Corey Crumpton; one granddaughter, Olivia Crumpton; a sister, Barbara Jo Phillips and husband, Chuck; two half-brothers, Forest Crumpton and Daniel Crumpton; one half-sister, Cindy Crumpton; three nephews, Charles Edward Phillips, III, Robert Phillips, and Joey Phillips; one great-niece, Caroline Phillips; two great-nephews, Grayson Phillips and Mason Phillips; and his fianc?e, Pilar Wuadell. Ricky attended Timberlake Baptist Church and was employed at Unique Industries, Blairs, Va. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at 2 p.m., at Townes Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Walter Yancey officiating. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., at Townes Funeral Home prior to the funeral and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jones, 233 Robin Drive, Danville, Va.
