Roland Elliott Obituary
RICHMOND, Va. - On November 28, 2004, after a long illness, Dr. Roland Judson Elliott, 81, passed away at his home in Richmond. He grew up in Danville, Va. and came to the University of Richmond in 1942. He served as a naval officer in World War II. After returning from his service, he completed his education at the University of Richmond, and earned a D.D.S. degree from M.C.V. His family lived in Ginter Park, where he practiced dentistry for 45 years. He was active in his church and his community.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Billie Wright Elliott; three children, Jan Elliott Evans, Julie Ladd Elliott and Roland Judson Elliott Jr.; daughter-in-law, Angela Smith Elliott; son-in-law, Evan Eugene Evans Jr.; and two grandchildren, Rebecca DeVoe Elliott and Roland Judson Elliott III.
A memorial service will be held at Reveille United Methodist Church on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Circle Center Adult Day Services, 3900 W. Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23230.
