Sam Witcher Obituary
Sam Wilson Witcher Sr.
Mr. Sam Wilson Witcher Sr., 91, of Rocky Mount, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009.
He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Georgia (Carl) Powell, Mrs. Darlene (Joe) Swain, Minister Flora (Andrew) Cobbs, Mrs. Rebecca Dodson, Mrs. Lucy (Claude) Swain and Ms. Elsie G. Witcher, all of Rocky Mount; four sons, Mrs. Sam (Zanny) Witcher Jr., Mr. Mearl (Carolyn) Witcher, Mr. Elvis (Pamela) Witcher and Mr. Jeremiah Witcher, all of Rocky Mount; 27 grandchildren, 36 great -grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at the New Design United Pentecostal Association Church with Elder Roscoe Richie officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 29, 2009, at the church. Entombment in the church cemetery.
