Susan Scearce Obituary
Susan was born in Danville, VA on October 28, 1963, a daughter of Warner Pell Scearce and the late Virginia Fain Scearce.
Susan was diagnosed at birth with the genetic abnormality, Down's Syndrome, but lived a full and fruitful life despite her limitations. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed dancing and listening to music, and never met a stranger. She loved people and life itself. She was a graduate of George Washington High School and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, Susan is survived by one sister, Debbie Ingram and her husband Vic, of Danville, VA; one brother, Dan Sparrow and his wife Carolyn, of Delray Beach, FL; two aunts, Barbara Keith and Gearlene Scearce; special friends, Michelle Eanes, Roger Smith, Jean Scearce along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Reverend Daryl Joyce officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence, 1301 Deercrest Lane, Danville, VA 24541. Susan was a special part of your family, and loved by all,I know she will be missed, but know that she isflitting around in heaven making everyone happy with her new body and shiny wings for I believe that she truly received them the minute she walked thru those pearly gates into Jesus's arms. I loved her she was always special to me.
