Eleanor White Obituary

Eleanor C. White, age 92, of Glen Carbon, died at 1 a.m., on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1915, in Taos, Mo., the daughter of the late Anton and Anna Frank Heckman.

She married William E. White on Feb. 2, 1939, in St. Louis. He precedes her in death.

She is survived by a son, William E., and wife Ruth, White of Nanjemoy, Md.; two daughters: Jane, and husband Clement, Kellerman of St. Charles, and Suzanne, and husband Anthony, Plocica of Edwardsville; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers: Cletus, and wife Ella Heckman, of Jefferson City, Mo., and Harold, and wife Bernice, Heckman of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters: Frances Robinson of Holt Summitt, Mo., and Louise Kramer of Jefferson City, Mo.; and a sister-in-law: Alby Heckman of Fla.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother: Raymond Heckman and a sister: Rose Meyers.

Mrs. White was a homemaker and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 3, at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Tuesday, March 4, at 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., at Weber and Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, with Rev. Jeff Goeckner officiating.

Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice or to masses.
