Gloria Winte Obituary
She was born on March 24, 1929, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late Martin and Minnie Pape Gieseking.
She married Herbert Winte on June 27, 1948, in Edwardsville. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1989.
She is survived by a son: Scott Winte and wife, Michelle of Edwardsville; two daughters: Carol Morgan and husband, Ray of Decatur, Ala., and Tracy Gotz and husband, Orra of Morris; seven grandchildren: Melissa Winte, Stephen Winte and wife, Laura, Matthew Winte, Jeffrey and Jacob Morgan, and Joel and Megan Gotz; a sister: Sharan Gieseking Lagemann of Edwardsville; and three sisters-in-law: Ethel Gieseking and Alberta and Loraine Winte.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Alvin.
Mrs. Winte was a retired receptionist for Drs. Grosze and Weir. Her memberships included Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7, at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home with Rev. Terence Groth officiating.
Interment will be at Forever Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville.
Memorials are suggested to the Bethesda Lutheran Home.
