Herman Hinds Obituary

Herman Hinds, age 91, of Glen Carbon, died at 5:33 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Eden Village Care Center.
He was born Nov. 29, 1923, in Granite City, the son of the late Sherman and Anna Berry Hinds.
He married Annabelle Lee Miller. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons David (Pat) Hinds of St. Louis and Rob (Evelyn) Hinds of Frisco, Texas; daughters-in-law: Toni Hinds and Debi Hinds; one sister: Juanita Robertson of California; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons: Michael Hinds and Rick Hinds; one daughter: Mary Hinds; two brothers: Thurman and Denver and three sisters: Norma, Elenore and Del.
Mr. Hinds was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen French officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
Memorials are suggested to Gateway Hospice.
