Lori King Obituary

Lori Anne King, age 42, of Granite City, died at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at her residence.

She was born on March 29, 1963, in East St. Louis, the daughter of Lois Sans Souci King of Granite City.

Also surviving is her beloved: Mark Presley of Granite City; a sister: Susan Dulaney and husband, Kevin of Troy; a brother: Christopher King and wife, Karley of Chesterfield, Mo.; a cousin: Molly Mullen and husband, Garret of Granite City; nephews: Brendan Dulaney and Connor Mullin; nieces: Megan Fren Dulaney, Leyla Fern King and MaKenna Mullen; special uncle: Butch King and wife, Mickie of St. Louis; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Tom and Fern Sans Souci; and aunts: Suzie Redman and Juanita Sigite.

Ms. King was a court recorder for the City of St. Louis for 17 years.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, at Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Price officiating.

Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.

My best friend in junior high and high school. Lori was so intelligent, successful and beautiful. I think of her often and remember the good times. Lori was fearless and strong. She knew about all the good music way back then. My gratitude to her mother Lois. God bless you as time goes by.
