Mary Reuscher Obituary

Mary A. Reuscher
Mary A. Reuscher, age 98, of Edwardsville, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born February 5, 1927 in rural Saline County IL, the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma (Nelson) Francis. She married Norman A. Reuscher November 17, 1944 in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death July 26, 2014.
Mary is survived by three children: Sharon (Jerry) Tebbano and Nancy (Roger) Tynes, both of Ohio, and Kathy Rhoten of Edwardsville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth (J.P.) Fromm of Ridgway, IL.
Mary was a resident of Edwardsville for more than seventy years. In that time, she had a remarkable impact on the community. Her volunteerism, service, talents and positive energy have been recognized and rewarded by many individuals and organizations. The Edwardsville Beautification Award, the JSC Loni Hansel Award and the Edwardsville High School Service and Spirit Awards, were just a few, among many, accolades she received over the years.
A private memorial service will be for Mary's family. An Open House Visitation for any and all of her friends will take place on Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 3601 Ridgeview Road, Edwardsville. Memorial offerings may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the Reuscher family. Mary was always there at the doors to the gym to greet me at the EHS basketball games. May she rest in peace.
