Muriel Kerlin Obituary

Muriel "Micki" Eleanor Kerlin
Muriel Eleanor "Micki" Kerlin, 88, resident of Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the home. She was born February 28, 1937, in Camden, New Jersey, the daughter of Jefferson, Jr., and Sarah Grace Price LeCates. She married David J. Kerlin on May 16, 1959, in Woodbury, NJ. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2024. She is survived by a daughter, Debra K (Richard) Rambo of Pontiac; and three sons, Richard (Tina Rodgers) Kerlin of Indianapolis, IN, Dwight (Barb) Kerlin of Washington, D.C., and Joel D. (Julie) Kerlin of Pontiac. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jefferson LeCates III; and a grandson, Matthew Rambo. Micki graduated from Woodbury High School in 1954, and was a member of the school's hall of fame for tennis, basketball, and field hockey. She also attended Douglass College which later became part of Rutgers University. She lived in Woodbury, New Jersey until 1976 when she moved to Pontiac with her husband. She assisted her husband in bringing soccer to Pontiac with the development of the Pontiac Soccer Club. She was also administrative assistant for various medical and construction businesses. Later, she resided in Brookfield and Collinsville in Illinois until moving back to Pontiac in 2023. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
