Susan Murphy Obituary
St. Louis, MO - Susan D. Murphy, age 66, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away 2:21 p.m. on June 11, 2021, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis. She was born in Alton, Illinois, on Nov. 18, 1954, the daughter of Roblee C. & Mildred C. (Ringering) Thorpe. Susan married James P. Murphy Jr. on Oct. 16, 1996, in Clayton, Missouri. Besides her parents & husband; Susan is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Seeley, of Bethalto, Illinois; a granddaughter, Kimberley Seeley, of Bethalto; a brother, Steven Thorpe & wife Pamela, Edwardsville, Illinois; and a sister, Robin Vaughn & husband Denis, of St. James, Missouri. Susan was preceded in death by two brothers, Barry & Tracy Thorpe. Susan was a big fan of Elvis Presley, listening to his music and watching all his movies. She was also an avid reader. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Diane Grohmann presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Murphy Family. Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
