Joseph Charles "Joe" Falish

1950 - 2021

Joseph Charles "Joe" Falish, 70, Suring, WI, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021. He was born on December 21, 1950 in Tonet, WI to John and Verna (Jonet) Falish.
Joe graduated from Green Bay East High School, Class of 1969. On August, 8, 1970, he married Mary Ellen Van Kauwenberg at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Joe worked at the former James River, now Georgia Pacific, for 44 years before retiring in 2013. He had a very strong work ethic, only missing four days – the days his children were born.
Joe enjoyed deer hunting, playing fast-pitch softball, and once being in a demolition derby. Along with Mary, he raised and trained cocker spaniels for their family business, Jo-Mar's Kennels. Joe also co-taught CCD with Mary. He loved being a husband, dad and grandpa.
Survivors include his children, Joe Falish, Paul (Rebecca) Falish, Jeramie Falish, and Keith (Lora) Falish; grandchildren, Coty, Cyle, Cortney, Lauren, Nolan, Quinn, Reese, Dawson, Levi, Brooklyn and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Baileigh, Isiah, and Scarlet; his siblings, Laverne (Dave) Charlier, John (Debbie) Falish, Shirley (Mickey) Tillman, Beverly (Dan) DePas, Wayne (Diane) Falish, Tina (Bruce) Mattern, Gail Smith (Dave Jackson), and Marvin (Jeanne) Falish; sister-in-law, Carla Falish; brothers-in-law, Robert (Carol) LeCaptain, and Mike Van Kauwenberg; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ellen Falish; his parents; brother, Norman Falish; mother-in-law, Elaine Smith; and brothers-in-law, Bill Smith, Les LeCaptain, and Chuck Smith.
Visitation will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church, from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 23; followed by a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at church on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev.
