San Angelo - Arlene Garcia, age 60 entered the gates of Heaven on May, 4, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 13th at 6:00 PM in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 14th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Arlene was born June 3, 1960 to Ancelmo and Josephina C. Holguin in San Angelo, Texas. She was a long standing member of LULAC Council 637, District-9 whom she served faithfully for many years, Also a long standing member of St. Mary's catholic church and Parish Life. Arlene was a great mom and wife of 44 years. She loved being with her children, grand kids, dogs (babies) and especially her sisters. Her beautiful smile was contagious.

"My Lord in Heaven I know that you have welcomed Mom into heaven. That her pain and suffering has ended. We acknowledge that all of our family members that preceded her are there to take Mom into their loving arms. Arlene, Mom please say Hi from all of us still here. We will see you again the love of our lives."

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; Ancelmo Holguin and Josephina Holguin and her siblings, Alejandra Alvarez, Amparo Holguin and Ancelmo "Chico" Holguin, Jr.

Her survivors include her husband Robert "Bob" Garcia; her two daughters Marina & husband Gabriel Llanas and Jesse Garcia; her grandchildren, Josephine and Christopher Llanas; and her siblings, Mr. & Mrs. Abel Holguin, Susie and husband Simon Soto, Anna and husband Joe Rodriguez, Angie and husband Reyes Menchaca, Adela and husband James Ortiz and Aida and husband Bob Lombrana.
