CHARLES B. HARBIN

SAN ANGELO - Charles B. Harbin, 79, died after a short illness Sunday, May 24, 2009, at a local hospital. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jackie Harbin; daughter Leslie Richardson and son-in-law Charles Richardson and granddaughter Lauren Richardson, all of San Angelo; son Ward Harbin and daughter-in-law Kathy Harbin of Evansville, Ind. Charles was retired as superintendent of the Swift and later Montfort Lamb Plant. He loved playing golf. He had a wonderful group of friends that he met during his favorite past time and being such a jovial neighbor. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in the funeral home chapel.

I would like to extend my sympathies to the Harbin family. Although I did not know Mr. Harbin he was so kind to my grandson when he had hopes of buying the VW. He took the time to talk to him and to show him all details of the bus. Again, God bless. Judy
