Clay Bednar will not only be remembered as an outstanding peace officer but a very good friend. Clay joined the Texas Rangers in 1961 and assigned to Company A stationed in Liberty. I had the pleasure of assisting Clay in the investigation of several criminal cases as a Firearms Examiner with the Houston Police. My father was a Company A Ranger at the time and always said Clay was the ideal Ranger and good friend. May God bless his family. Randy Sillavan Trinity,Tx

Clay was one of the most professional officers I ever knew. Just one word fromhim was worth more than volumns from others. He was as good a man as he was an officer. I will miss him.

Jane and family, Gerald and I were saddened by the news of Clay's passing. We will miss him when we visit Johnson Street Church not sitting behind us. He had a beautiful voice and he was such a sweet God fearing man.
