David Caves Obituary

David Caves

Hico, TX

David Clint Caves passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 from injuries received in an automobile accident. David was born June 25, 1964 to Clint and Sandy Caves at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated high school at Robert Lee, TX in 1980 and received his college degree in Architecture at University of Texas Arlington.

David married Robin Ann Garner on August 29, 1992. They lived in Frisco, TX many years during his employment with J.C. Penny before moving to Robin's Nest On The Hill Ranch at Hico, TX. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He liked to fish, or just paddle around the lake in his kayak. He loved to cook, especially on his barbeque grill; however, clean up time was a whole new ballgame. When looking through his laptop computer, his family found he was writing a Sci Fi novel. He enjoyed watching football and basketball and especially the Olympics.

In memory of David an extended family event to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 25th from 2:00 to 8:00 pm in his parent' s home at 6702 Allen Rd in Christoval.

David is survived by his wife Robin, a son Andrew Dylan Caves of Hico, two daughters Madison Alexa Caves and Lauren Ann Caves of Frisco, TX, his parents and a sister Shery Wilkes of Snyder, TX.

Memorials can be made to the Diabetic Foundation or a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the trauma center Doctors and Staff at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

My dad's love, his goofy laugh, the memories we made, the life lessons that will always stay with me. These are his gifts to me and I will forever miss him.
His favorite show was Game of Thrones. We always had fun watching it and debating who would survive till the very end. We both had different favorite characters so there was always some butting heads.
His Favorite movie was Guardians of The Galaxy 2 where he always made known that you did not have to watch the first movie to fully enjoy the second movie.
I hate to say even after all his nagging to watch it... I still have not.
He was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life like the end slice of French bread and going to Kroger to shop and finding still warm fresh tortillas to bring home.
He loved to whistle his favorite tunes and learn a new song on his guitar. I could go on forever writing everything he loved and everything I will miss about this great man that I got to call father.
I will miss you everyday! You were ripped from this world too soon and we will always love you.
Rest easy till we meet again.
