EDWIN ARTHUR FINCHER

SAN ANGELO - Edwin Arthur Fincher, age 48, of San Angelo passed from this life on Sunday, June 13, 2004, at his residence after a short battle with cancer. He was born on April 16, 1956, in Houston, to Huey and Clara Fincher. He married Donna Rogers on March 21, 1975, in San Angelo. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a master plumber. Edwin was a member of Belmore Baptist Church. Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin McSpadden, pastor of Belmore Baptist Church, officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelleigh Phillips, Bill Merry, Curtis Miller, Jay Quicksall, Paul Parker and Eric Myers. Surviving are his wife, Donna Fincher of the home; daughters, Mandy Mendiola and husband Billy of Miles, and Rakah Dominguez and husband Johnny of San Angelo; son, Edwin Arthur Fincher Jr. and future daughter-in-law Ashley Rosser of San Angelo; mother, Clara Fincher of San Angelo; brother, Robert Fincher of San Angelo; grandchildren, Cameron and Kennedie Mendiola of Miles, and Jordan and Christian Dominguez of San Angelo; niece, Cheyenne Fincher; nephew, Ryan Rogers Hooten; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Huey L. Fincher; and grandmothers, Willie Fincher and Dollie McGuyer. The family wishes to thank Hospice of San Angelo and special family friend Eric Myers for their care and support in the last few months. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the American Cancer Society.
