ELLA KOHUTEK VIDLER

SAN ANGELO - Ella Kohutek Vidler passed peacefully from this life Monday, July 11, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 22, 1919, to John and Tracy Kohutek in Floresville, Texas. She met and married Robert Vidler on Oct. 9, 1937. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1986. Robert and Ella farmed near Veribest most of their lives. Ella was a homemaker and helped with many of the farming chores. She thoroughly enjoyed and was so very proud of her grandchildren and was even more proud of her great-grandchildren. She was a member of Wall Brethren Church and Wall Christian Sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; sisters Bessie Kohutek, Lillie Holubec, Francis Chjovka, Marie Lauw and Julie Mikeska; and her brother, Emil Kohutek. She is survived by her son, Robert, and wife Sherry Vidler of San Angelo; daughter Karen Richards of San Angelo; grandchildren Amby Richards, Charmaine Smith and husband Ed, Courtney Cummings and husband Darrell, all of San Angelo, and Kris Richards of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Lynn Russell, Mackenzie Lynn Smith and Sterling Bryce Cummings, all of San Angelo. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Wall Brethren Church with the Rev. Robert Janek officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews Jimmie Brenek, Larry Brennek, Lynn Brenek, Tommy Hanning and Bill Holubec; and great-nephew Allen Brenek. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Wall Brethren Church or Hospice of San Angelo. We wish to thank Hospice of San Angelo for its kind and compassionate care of Ella in her last days, especially Donna Ferguson and Linda Roberts, and Peggy Hunt of Riverside Health Care. We also thank all the staff at Royal Estates for their care and compassion during her residency there.
