Flora Hargraves Obituary
San Angelo
Flora M. "Dimples" Hargraves, 81, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in San Angelo. Flora, affectionately known as "Dimples", was born Nov. 15, 1935, to Jesse and Jessie Doherty Galbreath. She grew up in Central Texas. After high school, Flora married the love of her life, Louis Allen Hargraves, on Nov. 7, 1953, in San Marcos, Texas and they shared 62 wonderful years together.
Louis and Flora moved to San Angelo in the 1950s and were charter members of Lindell Avenue Baptist Church. Flora worked as an artist for Wallace Lab for almost 50 years before retiring. In her spare time, she loved listening to country western music and dancing. Her favorite country music though was George Strait. She was a huge fan and could listen to him for hours without getting tired of it. Flora was a loving daughter, wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Her life and tremendous love will live on in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss her!
Flora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis; three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Foerster and husband Eric, of Tomball, Texas; her special daughter, Kathy Robertson and husband Gene of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Harper Funeral Home in place of a memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of San Angelo.
