FLOYD BROWNLEE Obituary

PECOS Floyd Paul Brownlee Jr. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009. He was born on January 30, 1922 in Pecos, Texas.Floyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sena Ray; daughter Mary Elizabeth and husband Roland Hartley of Colorado; son James Robert Brownlee and wife Corina of Pecos; two grandsons, Bryan Brownlee and wife Rebecca of Frisco, Texas and Jeff Brownlee and wife Mindy of Lewisville, Texas; sister Gail Murray and many nieces and nephews. Floyd was a Catholic and devotedly served his church throughout his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served in the Pecos Rotary Club and was a school board member.He was a businessman and owner of Brownlee Hardware for 70 years.He served in the Airforce and was stationed in the South Pacific. His division was the First to go into Tokyo after the war. Services for Floyd Paul Brownlee Jr. is at 2p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Saint Catherine Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. A rosary is at 7p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 in Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saint Catherine Catholic Church, West of the Pecos Museum and Pecos Senior Center.
