Private Memorial Service for Gregory Allen "Greg" Shipman, age 67, is at Clyde Cosper Memorial State Veterans Center in Bonham. Greg passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 10, 2016, at Clyde Cosper Memorial State Veterans Center in Bonham.
Greg was born on May 6, 1949, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Clifton Shipman and Dorothy Paige Shipman. He married Jean Warner in March of 1974. Greg retired from the United States Air Force, ranked a Master Sergeant. After the military, Greg worked at Red Wing Shoe Store and later was a Realtor in San Angelo. He is preceded in death by his wife and mother.
Greg is survived by his sons, Billy Shipman and wife Kristi of Rockwall and Bobby Shipman of San Angelo; Father, Clif Shipman and Step-mom Wanda of Colorado; Step-brother, Larry Harris and wife Lisa of Denver, Colorado; Sister, Cindy Slovik of Denver, Colorado; Step-Sister, Kathy Smith and husband Ken of Denver, Colorado; and Grandchildren, Macey, Leah, A. J., Avery, Robert Jr., and Jakob.

Greg was like a second father to me for many years. He was always kind and giving and I will always cherish the wonderful memories I have of him. I pray he always knew we have always loved him and his family dearly. Rest in peace Greg, and give Jean a big hug from us.

Saddened to hear about Greg's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him while in the Air Force at Goodfellow AFB. I'll keep Greg and his family in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, my friend.
