JAMES WOLFENBARGER Obituary

SAN ANTONIO - James Wesley Wolfenbarger, age 72, passed away Sept. 28, 2002, in San Antonio. He was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Eden, Texas, to William Wesley Wolfenbarger and Susan Mahaley Lumbley. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Loveta Louise Farrar, he served four years in the United States Navy and was a member of VFW Post 837. He moved to San Antonio in 1954 and worked for City Public Service Board retiring after 35 years with CPSB. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Loveta; his parents; and his sister, Nan Barthold. He is survived by his sister, Diana Werner; his children, Karie Voigt and Craig Wolfenbarger; four grandchildren, Jennifer Skaggs, Susan Walters, Lisa Wolfenbarger and Callie Jane Wolfenbarger; great-grandson, Jordan Nathanael Walters; and special friend, Wanda Wiley. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Boysville Inc. in his name Attn: Boysville Inc. P.O. Box 369, Converse, Texas, 78109. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Mission Park. Chapel service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Eden Funeral Home, 410 Paint Rock Road in Eden, Texas, with interment to follow in Eden City Cemetery.
