JOHN KIRKHAM Obituary

SAN ANGELO - John A. Kirkham, 56, of Mineral Wells passed away at his residence. John was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Lubbock to Calvin and Bobbie Kirkham. He graduated from Miles High School. John married Linda Harris and had a beautiful daughter, Tracey. Later, John married Sharon Nord and had a wonderful son, Justin. John sold cars for Sewell Ford and Rogers Ford in Odessa for a number of years and later moved to Mineral Wells. John was preceded in death by his father, Calvin; his step-father, Marvin Salling Sr.; and a sister, Joyce Jezek. John is survived by his son, Justin, and his daughter, Tracey and husband Lee Calvert; grandchildren Haylee and Chase Calvert, all of Odessa; mother Bobbie Salling of Miles; brothers Ed Kirkham and wife Franca of Maryland, and Marvin Salling Jr. and wife Stacy of San Angelo; and sisters Judy Lange and husband Dwaine of Norton, Shelly Salling of San Angelo, and Myrlene Bomer and husband Archie of San Angelo. John is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Ed Beckley. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005, in the Miles Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Tingle and Pastor Diane Terrazas officiating. John enjoyed his family, cars, skydiving, country music and life itself. We will miss his quick wit and unique sense of adventure. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
