LENA GIST Obituary

SAN ANGELO - Lena Brazil Gist, a lifelong San Angelo resident, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, Dec. 20, at Adams and Starks Funeral Home. Public viewing will be on Friday, Dec. 19, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Survivors include her daughter, Veronica Brazil of Irving; a son, Terrance Gist of San Angelo; sisters Eva Ellis (James) of Colleyville, Texas, Juliet Patterson (Ed) of Bedford, Texas, and Annie Jones and Brenda Lacy of San Angelo; brothers Dorris Fuller of San Antonio, Waymon Brazil Jr. of Geissen, Germany, Jerry and John Brazil of San Angelo and dear friend, Lawrence Ray. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Gist; her parents, Waymon Sr. and Dorothy Brazil; and brothers, Christopher and Tony.

To The Gist Family, So very sorry to hear of Lena's passing. I'm smiling at her presence, she was so funny and a joy to be around. We all grew up in the same neighborhood, but to lose a friend is always the hardest. I send prayers and many blessings of comfort to get the family through this difficult time.
