MARGARETT GABHART Obituary

CORPUS CHRISTI - Margarett Lee Gabhart, 82, died Thursday, May 22, 2008. Margarett was born to Malcom (Dick) and Nettie Smith Williams in Fort Stockton, Texas. After obtaining her cosmetology license, Margarett beautified clients in Erath County during her career. She was a wonderful mother and a loving supportive wife to her husband, Orman, for over 61 years. Margarett and Orman raised their four children in Lingleville, Texas before retiring in Miles, Texas. They moved to Corpus Christi five years ago to be near family. Margarett loved her family, trying new recipes, crocheting, music, and dancing Margarett is survived by her beloved husband, Orman E. Gabhart; her four children, Donna Rasberry (Cecil) of Morgan Mill, Texas, Ray Gabhart, Karen Work (A.L.) all of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Oren Gabhart; five grandchildren, Chad Rasberry (Heather), Angela Rasberry Bailey (Geoff), Kitten Work, Henry Work (Vickie), Eric Gabhart and grandson-in-law Jonathan Murphey; eight great grandchildren, Jakob Rasberry, Ireland and Eion Bailey, Charlie Rasberry, Micheal Scott (Kim), J.W. Murphey, Kaylee and Kaycee Work; and great-great-grandson, Dalton Lee Scott. She is also survived by her sister, LuElla Murphy of Moore, Okla.; and her brother, Junior Williams (LaNell) of Comanche, Texas; several nieces, their families, and numerous cousins. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas. The family would like to thank Nurses on Wheels, the doctors and staff at the Corpus Christi Cancer Center, Dr. David Vanderheiden as well as the other doctors, nurses and medical personnel that cared for Margarett during her battle with heart disease and cancer. We also recognize the devotion and loving care contributed by family members, friends and neighbors during Margarett's illness.
