Marvin was a great guy. He always had a smile on his face and one for you as well because he just made you feel better about yourself by visiting with him . I've worked many meets with Marvin at all levels in San Angelo to the State meet in Austin. He was very helpful and supportive while forming and administering the Interscholastic Track Officials Organization of Texas from 1996 - 2016. Marvin was a great official but a better person...I'll miss ya buddy.

Marvin held me for several years in the field announcer’s booth at the Angelo State football games. We were a good team, and Marvin enjoyed bringing Matt with him many times. Everyone knew and liked Marvin, as he never met a stranger! He was a Good Guy, and will be missed.

Marvin was a great friend who was a strong supporter of Irion County athletes and especially our daughter, Lynn. Marvin was an ever present worker who was an exemplar of “dependability” and force for goodness. He shall be sorely missed. Loye Tankersley
