RUBY NELL KELLEY

AMARILLO - Ruby Nell Kelley died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the age of 86. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008, in the Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Ruby Nell was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Windom, Texas, to Jennings Harvey Wilkerson and Della Lee Moree. Nell retired from Skaggs/Albertsons after 35 years of employment, working at the original Skaggs on Polk Street before moving to the Albertsons in Wolflin Village where she retired. Nell, or Ruby, as some people love to call her, was very proud to be a member of the Amarillo Rebekah's and took great pride in going to the local lodge where she served in numerous offices to include the Nobel Grand and loved being on the Funeral Team. After Nell retired, she moved to San Angelo in 2004 due to some minor health problems and to be near her daughter and grandson who lived there. Ruby Nell was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one great-grandchild, Jade Nicole Pierson. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Ann Moore of San Angelo; her son, Larry Don Kelley and wife Lynn of Boise, Idaho; grandsons Monty Pierson and wife Debbie of San Angelo, Shaum Kelley and wife Renee of Clarkston, Wash., and Ashton Kelley of Boise, Idaho; granddaughters Carrie Sanchez and husband Louie of Chandler, Ariz., Melissa Alexander and husband Craig of San Antonio; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be made to the Rebekah Retirement Home, 2300 S. Oak Grove Road, Ennis, Texas 75119.
