Simon Ramirez Obituary

JUNCTION Simon Ramirez, age 80, fell asleep in death on Tuesday, April 4, 2012, at his home. He was the son of Maximiliano and Ascension. He was preceded in death by his parents; baby sister; two brothers; his wife, Petra; and his son, Isidro. Mr. Ramirez is fondly remembered for the love of his children, his passion for ranching, farming and his friends. He was a resident of Kimble County for more than 50 years. Mr. Ramirez is survived by three sisters; one brother; his son, Antonio Ramirez of Junction; his daughter, Yolanda and her husband, Enrique Carrales, of Ingram, Texas; his daughter, Madgdalena and her husband, Loyd Thompson, and his grandson, Brandon, of Kerrville, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ramirez was associated with the Jehovah Witness congregation for the past 50 years. He was an avid Bible reader, always willing to share his faith with others. A memorial service is planned for Mr. Ramirez at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, in the Aubrey Fife Funeral chapel, Junction, Texas. The serving pallbearers are Alvino Ontiveros, Enrique Carrales, Jesus Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, Felix Ramirez and Kelly Kothmann. Honorary pallbearers are Greer Kothmann, Charles Hagood, Bobby and Nancy Weaver, Linda Fawcett, Tommy Fawcett and Benda Schuler. Memorials may be made in Simon's name to Meals on Wheels; Kimble Museum; and Kimble Hospital.
